Warnemunde, Germany, 16 - 24 July 2004 (1st race 19 July)
Laser Standard European Championship
Laser Standard European Trophy
Laser Standard Youth European Championship

Report: Day 3

The weather forecast for today did not give much hope for sailing all 5 scheduled races for both the Senior (2) and the Youth (3) fleet. Fortunately all the weather systems around Warnemunde did not move as everyone expected. Both courses had good sailing conditions with winds of about 15 knots from the west.
The Youth fleet picked up their lost race from Tuesday and also sailed both today’s races as well. For sure they had a long day on the water.
Giles Scott (GBR) took over the first position from Stephen Powell (GBR) since the worst score of 6 races can be discarded now.
In the Senior fleet Michael Blackburn (AUS) kept on sailing very well and again sailed a first and fourth place maintaining his leading position.
Thursday is the last qualifier day and after that both fleets will be split into Gold and Silver for the finals.
